I have always been exercise geek, with one exception: I have never enjoyed going to the Gym. The main reason? My dogs can’t join me there. So instead I choose running, hiking, and cross-country skiing - all of which I can do outdoors with my dogs. My priority is to share my limited time with my high energy dogs - and get us all good and tired together!
With this in mind, I have tried several sessions of the Furry FC Club (Riverdog trainers are practicing the class for a June kickoff), and I can tell you, I have been pleasantly surprised! First, at how quickly the hour flew by without me even thinking that I am tired! Second, how much fun it is to exercise with other dog owners; we had lots of fun. And third, how much my German Shepherd Zelig enjoyed the class and improved his attention around high energy distractions. His down stay, loose leash walking, and running all got better right away - and the best thing out of all it was that he was really tired and I didn’t have to run another 5 miles that day.
I really liked doing more than just walking my dogs. We give "2 THUMBS AND 4 PAWS UP to The Furry FC Club!"
