Denise Stringfellow, CPDT
As Riverdog's principal owner, and head of coaching and training, Denise has been improving the relationship between dogs and owners in the greater Seattle area since 1996. A UW graduate and accomplished equestrian, Denise's future as a dog trainer was sealed the day that she mistook a Great Dane for a small horse (as many people do) and discovered that "horse whispering" worked for dogs, too. A Certified Professional Dog Trainer, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and John Rogerson Associate, she has titled numerous breeds in conformation, hunting, and obedience, including Labradors, Dobermans, Dachsunds, and Pointers. Riverdog has been showcased in a variety of magazines, radio, and TV programs, and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Washington State Psychologically Healthy Workplace. Denise is a member of Issaquah’s Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association. She shares her life with her husband, Scott, and a circus of three kids, nine sheep, six cows, two horses, four cats, and Doberman puppy, Kix.
