For Kendra, a cockroach funeral came first. Next, memorials for the many small creatures her cat killed. Then—briefly— experiments in junk hauling. But in the end, she laid to rest the idea of having a job that didn’t include animals, and luckily for us, her aptitudes and affections led her to dogs. Today Kendra is a freelance writer and seasoned Counselor with a style that is quiet, gentle, and very funny. You’ll always find Kendra either snuggling with the puppies, caressing her angelic-tempered cat named Lucifer, or running agility with her two rescued herding dogs, Gracie and Nash.
